Murder, We Spoke
Murder, We Spoke unites my love of true crime podcasts and my passion for theatre. The play itself follows three women as they attempt to become podcasting legends with their true crime podcast, Murder, We Spoke. In the podcast, the women cover everything from unsolved murders to iconic serial killers. As the three women chase their dreams of becoming the number 1 podcast in the nation, they slowly start to embrace their killers' subjects’ lifestyles.
Currently, we live in a time that is reminiscent of the Yellow Journalism age of the early 20th century. To make sales and achieve success, the more sensational your story must become at any cost. Murder, We Spoke explores the question, “How far would you go for fame?” |

CHARACTERS - Murder, We Spoke Trio
- BERNIE BROWN: (She/Her, early-mid 30's). A pragmatist mixed with a pessimist. She is tired, just so tired of trying that she has let her guard down. And now, something is ready to break free.
- PAULA ANDERSON: (She/Her, early-mid 30's). A narcissist. She is the main character in everyone's life. When she wants something, she doesn't ask...she just takes it. Sharp and cuts to the core.
- CRESCENDO: (She/Her, early-mid 30's). An introvert and loner. She only speaks when she has something to say...and you better listen. She's got a fire in her that's waiting to burst.
